ABB Case Study

ABB asked us to produce an overview video of one of their manufacturing facilities. The project went well, and the relationship grew quickly. Since then, we’ve created a range of videos for them — from product demos to how‑to content — showcasing different parts of their business.

OVERVIEW VIDEO

The multi-national company wanted to show the extent of the operation at their Coleshill facility. Over three days we filmed interviews with key personnel to create the narrative. We captured footage of their interior operations, and used a drone for exterior shots. We also generated many film clips to build a footage library that can be repurposed in the future.

PRODUCT VIDEOS

To help support their sales teams we created product videos highlighting the main features and benefits of a product range targeted at the food and beverage industry. The videos combined footage we shot, some stock footage, and animation. The videos were created with off-screen voice overs so they could be localised for different markets.

HOW-TO VIDEOS

To help explain the operating instructions for one of their ranges of intelligent lighting systems ABB commissioned us to make twelve ‘how-to’ videos. One to two minutes in duration they included off-screen narration giving detailed, step by step instructions.

SOCIAL MEDIA SHORTS

With so much great material to work with, we created several short sequences for ABB to use across their social media channels.

FOREIGN LANGUAGE VERSIONS

We created Mandarin, French, Italian, Spanish and German versions to support ABB’s sales in different territories. In all cases the captions and animation text was changed – and depending on the market requirements we used either subtitles or local language voiceovers.
